UDW Membership Dues

Our union dues go toward building power and winning justice for workers and our families—both at the Capitol and in our local communities.

Calculate Your Dues

UDW membership dues are 3.5% of your gross monthly pay with a $20 minimum and a $49 maximum. This structure was adopted in 2021 and is being implemented over a period of four years.

What We’ve Accomplished

When we began our union over 40 years ago, we set out with a clear and uncompromising goal: to better the lives of IHSS caregivers, our clients, our families and our communities. Together, we’ve won:

Collective bargaining rights

Overtime pay

Paid sick days

Path to a $15/hr minimum wage

Paid travel and medical accompaniment time

Direct deposit and electronic timesheets so we get paid faster

PPE and supplies for providers during COVID-19 pandemic

Ended cuts to IHSS hours

...And so much more.

What Your Dues Help Us Fight For

Together, we can build a better future for IHSS providers, our clients, our families, and our communities. Here’s what we’re fighting for:

  • Higher IHSS pay
  • Statewide, not county-by-county IHSS bargaining
  • More access to high-quality health care for our families
  • Retirement security
  • A future where everyone has the care they need and every caregiver is well-paid
  • Long term care for all
